A Dinner Tale
A downloadable game for Windows
Background:
On a New Year's Eve, the players are
staying together to have a great dinner. But, suddenly
a monster arrives at the house and is very hungry. The monster
asks the players to cook the food and Besides that, the monster
uses dark magic to hide the family members' vision
to prevent them to see their own cards. It also gives the food
preferences to each person, therefore each player has to guess the
preference of the other player and lead the team to victory by completing
the monster's food preference. Hence, the game sets the atmosphere to test the teamwork!
This game was completed with a team under the course "Game Design and Analysis" at Northeastern University. It is a cooperative card game in which the players have to complete the monster's preferences by cooking the recipes using various spices, ingredients and balancing the level of taste and heat. Players have the choice to use the action card to achieve the given preference or dish, and the game can be played with friends, colleagues, or family members, with more than 2 players during the gameplay. It's a low poly game set in a kitchen environment.
Some of the assets were modeled in Blender and a few were imported from Sketchfab and UE4 marketplace.
